Jim Morrison. Jimi Hendrix. Janis Joplin. Rock stars of legend. Their music still resonates through our speakers and throughout our lives to this very day. Their influence on audiences and future artists–such as Amy Winehouse and Kurt Cobain–are immeasurable. Perhaps not coincidentally, each are also some of the most famous members of what has become known as the 27 Club, artists who’ve left us at the age of 27. They also have one more thing in common, none of them have ever been captured on canvas by your favorite artist who hails from Music City and chills in the Windy City… until now!
You’re invited to the first Art By Brenan Chicago art opening at an awesome new venue… the jewel of Chicago’s Gold Coast known as the one, the only, 3rd Coast Cafe. See portraits of the 27 Club at their best and in their prime while listening to their music, and not just the same songs any of us can listen to at any time on our phones. We will have live music performed by Tony Nuccio and the Saratoga Party, featuring Kevin Davis, PLUS, a special Artist’s Menu and drink specials including $5 wine and $5 beer.
Come and see the rock stars of the 27 Club get together one more time on Tuesday, September 25th from 5:00-9:00pm.
